National Temporal Bone Database
The Registry has developed and established the National Temporal Bone Database, which contains information on archival temporal bone specimens stored in various laboratories and collections throughout the United States. The Registry updates and maintains the database, which contains information on approximately 7,903 cases from 23 different laboratories. The database is not a substitute for the actual study of temporal bones but it does allow researchers to perform simple searches to locate specimens of interest. Investigators should contact the individual laboratories for studying the specimens or for access to the sections.
