Registered donors may have questions regarding the status of their pledge and
their filed information. In addition, donors may move and need to update their file.
Because donors can maintain their pledges for many years, it is important to keep contact
with the Registry. Donors who move or change their name without informing the Registry
often become "inactive". In these cases, donors, their next-of-kins and their
caretakers can "forget" about their pledge.
The Registry also publishes a semi-annual
newsletter, THE REGISTRY, which has articles about activities in temporal bone research as
well as a donor column where the answers to many donor's questions are listed. This
newsletter is sent to all the Registry's temporal bone donors to keep them abreast of
happenings relating to temporal bone donation and research.

Once
you have registered as a temporal bone donor, it is critical that you inform the Registry
of any changes in your address, name or next-of-kin. It is important that the Registry be
able to contact you or send you informational materials to keep your pledge active.
All registered donors are encouraged to
contact the Registry with any changes in address, name or next-of-kin. In addition, if you
have not signed a donor consent form in the last few years, you are urged to contact the
Registry to update your files. The Registry will send you new donor cards
to keep in your wallet or to give to your next-of-kin for easy reference.
