FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

The Registry recruits individuals with hearing and/or balance impairments to donate their ear structures after death for research purposes. This is important for the understanding of how the ear works, because the inner ear in not accessible during life. By studying ear structures (enclosed in the "temporal bone") scientists and clinicians can learn more about hearing and balance.
